Scoring for the overall 2007 championship is based on 12 races, your best 2 out of 4 count at each of 10K, 10M and 1/2 marathon. Nine of these races have been chosen, the other three you can nominate (before the race) when you are running well. There will also be a winner for each distance, for this your best 3 times at the distance count.  
     
You score points for how you run relative to your personal best (PB) from the last 2 years. You get 10 points for matching your PB, and you gain/lose 1/2 a point for each 1% you are over/under your PB (There is no bonus for a PB this year). Your PB will be updated for the next race if you beat it.   Scoring Examples  
If you have no previous race results you will get 10 points for your first race.  If you only have one time for a distance, the maximum score you can get will be 11 points.  
If you have no PB for a distance, a conversion time is used based on your PB's for the other distances, based on the McMillan running website, the maximum score you can get will be 11 points.   McMillan Website  
If there are any ties, the faster time will win (women will get 10% allowance over men).    
The competition runs for the whole of 2007, the last race is the Thanet 10M. At the Christmas party trophies presented to the winners.
