A mob match is a group of races ran against another
club all at the same time.
This year we have races against Istead&Ifield
and Gravesend held at Larkfield on 29th June and also against
Paddock Wood at Marden cricket club on July 13th. Both of these are normal training nights for
us so no excuses.
The idea is to get as many runners as possible out in
all of the different age categories, everybody scores
points not just race winners. An older man/woman
is actually more valuable than Steve Groom, (no offence meant to any older
runners).
Last year we were beaten narrowly by Istead & Ifield, so its
revenge time. Also Paddock Wood (that
club that pinched our cross country gold medals) beat us, mainly because they
had more runners than us, the fact that they were faster on the day didn’t help
either.
If you cant
run we need people to do catering, marshal and timekeep
too, but we need runners out there.
