Misc	I ran/walked the welsh 1000 on Saturday 4th June with a team we put in from the Royal Engineers 5 Fell Runners & 4 Hikers. It's a 32km race from the coast of North Wales at Abergwyngregyn to the top of Snowdon over 5 peaks above 1000m: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/90600983 1. Carnedd Llewelyn 1064m 2. Carnedd Dafydd 1044m 3. Glyder Fawr 1000.8m (Recently re-measured from 999m) 4. Garnedd Ugain 1065m 5. Snowdon 1085m I ran the Class A (Fell Running Race) which has a cut off time of 8 hrs. On the way I stopped to help one of my team (another fell runner) over the Glyders, he then retired at the bottom of Snowdon. I also stopped to encourage my mate up Snowdon (a hiker, 9.5hr cut off), but I left him when I realised I had to leave to reach the top of Snowdon in 8hrs. I finally got to the top of Snowdon in just under 8hrs 3mins :-( It was a bloody hot day and you had to carry your water and certain survival items with you and as the race finishes at the top of Snowdon you still have to make your own way down (3.5 miles to Pen Y Pass). I still can't walk properly! - Steve
