| MINNIS
BAY DUATHLON
Sunday 18th January was the Thanet MTB and Cross Country Duathlon. 5 runners from Larkfield Athletic Club took part - Ed Mundy, Matt Hughes, Dave Hawkes, Anne Poole and Mandy Lewis. The event was held over 3 laps of the Cross Country course with the first 2 laps on bikes and the 3rd running. The ground was very soft with lots of mud and puddles, so it was slow going! The race started on the beach with a mass start on the bikes. Ed got a good start finishing the 2nd bike lap in 7th position overall, by the end of the 3rd lap he was 10th! The
eventual winner, Nick Kinsey who has won this event for 7 consecutive
years, managed the course in 1:07:13. Matt Hughes |
