Just over 300 runners journeyed over to Sevenoaks on Sunday to enjoy the autumnal spendour of Knole Park and kick off yet another Kent Fitness League cross country season. Despite heavy rain earlier in the week, the ground conditions were ideal for running around the picture postcard setting which offered some challenging climbs and descents throughout the 5.5 mile route.

Excellent performaces, escpecially by the ladies team. Kim Howes was the leading veteran and Nicola Susans, who is improving with every race, came home in 4th. Larkfield ladies finished second behind Dartford Road Runners in the ladies' team event.
