Caroline and me recently travelled to Moyeuvre-Grande in France (Snodland's Twin Town) and took part in the Montee du Trehemont Saturday 18th June).

This is a 2.8k hill race with runners setting off at 1 minute intervals. the first 2k is all up hill with the last 800 metres slightly down hill. It was very hot but Caroline done very well and was 2nd Lady.

Its held in the evening and after the race they have an open air disco and then light up a massive bonfire with fireworks stuffed in it (because its Midsummer). They don't seem to have heard of health and safety out there cos the fireworks were going everwhere to the great amusement of everyone present!
