Easily the hardest run any of us have done. Dave, Steve, Simon, Lizzy and Mark took on this real challenge, theres not a lot you can do in the UK to prepare for the size of these hills. (Snowdon is around 1080 metres and Ben Nevis is around 1350 metres high). It was all uphill for the first hour and a half before some light terrain and then another big climb. The downhill finish hurt nearly as much as the uphill. The race website is www.boltez.si/marathon/index1.html which contains more details and some more photos. This is about an hour and a half which was all uphill. Yes I am walking but its only for the camera.
Lizzy made the podium, third place in her age group.
