A bright and breezy day for the running of the Stevenage Half Marathon , not a course for those prefering scenery as it takes place on the cycle ways and footpaths that dominate this town - a two lapper just in case you didnt get the graffiti the the 1st time round ! And to describe it as undulating wouldnt be mis-using the word ! The start was the worst part , we were lead from the athletic stadium by a bagpiper for about half a mile , this in itself caused most competitors to keep well back but then about 400mts from the start line everyone realised the race had begun , no whistle or horn , just go . This , i reckon , cost me about 80secs ! Otherwise though it was a good run - Mike
