In case you wondered whatever happened to Phil Smith? Well I ran my first race in a year at the weekend - and am still in one piece! I ran the Fred Lebow (guy who founded the New York Marathon) Memorial 5 miler in Central Park, New York. OK, it was only 5 miles and it took me 36.33, but it's progress, and I'm pretty chuffed to have at least taken the first step on the (long) road back.
